Day 9, Sept. 4
In Langnau, Switzerland, we worshiped with the people at the oldest existing Mennonite congregation. Met a dear friend, Ruth Lehmann there.
Lunch of Rösti, ham, cheese and egg at the Cheese factory in Alfoltern.
We had a muddy walk through cow pastures back to Yoder cave. Here is where the Anabaptist used to gather to worship in secret.
Sang "Faith of our Fathers" here. A very moving experience.
Some of the braver ones went on across a natural bridge over the Emme River. They said it was quite a hike down and then up the other side. The rest of us went back to the bus and met them at another spot.
