Day 10, Sept. 5

Hans Neuenschwander is with us for the day. We went to Tracheswald Castle first where many Anabaptists were imprisoned,  tortured and killed for their Faith.

The Haslebacher farm is still being run by descendants of Hans Haslebacher who was the last Anabaptist martyr from this area.

They have recently built a new dairy barn that is robotic. 
Visited a cow bell shop, then a store where they sell and make the Swiss Örgeli (accordian)
Kambly cookie factory was a delicious place to visit.
Hans then took us up in the mountains to an Alp summer farm where they bring the cows to the upper meadows. They also make the Alp cheese here. Hans had arranged for them to serve us lunch.

Then on to the Neuenschwander farm for afternoon coffee and cake. Hans and Esther with Bettina's daughter, Lynn
